FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Fayetteville community is remembering Steve Benjamin, a man whose life was defined by faith, optimism, and generosity. Surrounded by loved ones who cherished him deeply, Steve’s passing has inspired both grief and gratitude among family and friends.
Steve is lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary, his son Michael (Kim), and his stepchildren John, Angela, and Elizabeth. He is also survived by his sister Ellen Benjamin (Paul Termin), brother Robert Benjamin, and niece and nephew Brit and Hunter.
Friends describe Steve as a man whose warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Together with Mary, he shared passions that reflected his zest for life — ballroom dancing, motorcycle touring, and community service. Fittingly, he passed away doing one of the things he loved most: riding his Goldwing motorcycle.
In true reflection of his faith and outlook, Steve’s family thanks friends and fellow riders that honor not just his memory, but the joy he brought to life. A memorial celebration was held on May 15 at Freedom Biker Church in Fayetteville — a place that embodies the fellowship and spirit Steve lived by every day
