The Greene County Sheriff’s Office reported that emergency crews were called to the 2100 block of W Avenue around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. Upon arrival, first responders found Lansman pinned underneath a riding lawn mower in a shallow creek just a few feet deep.

According to authorities, the accident occurred when the embankment along the creek gave way, causing the mower to roll over and trap her underwater. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
