MARYSVILLE, Mich. — Mike Deising, a respected real estate broker, former firefighter, community leader, and co-founder of Marysville Hot Wheels Weekend, has died.
News of Deising’s passing prompted an outpouring of tributes from family, friends, fellow REALTORS®, community leaders, and longtime colleagues, many of whom remembered him as someone whose kindness, humor, and willingness to help others defined both his professional and personal life.

Born and raised in Marysville, Michigan, Mike Deising dedicated much of his life to the community he proudly called home.
A graduate of Marysville High School, he later studied Firefighting at St. Clair County Community College (SC4) before beginning a career in public service with the Marysville Fire Department, where he served as a firefighter and engineer.
Prior to entering the real estate profession, Deising also worked in customer service and distribution with Coca-Cola, experiences that colleagues said reflected the work ethic and personable nature that would later become hallmarks of his career.

Mike Deising became one of the most recognizable and respected figures in the Marysville real estate market.
He served as Broker and President of Deising Real Estate Services P.C. before later becoming an Associate Broker with Deising Real Estate powered by Epique Realty.
Over the years, he helped countless families purchase and sell homes throughout Michigan, earning a reputation for honesty, professionalism, and unwavering advocacy for his clients.
Beyond serving buyers and sellers, Deising devoted significant time to strengthening the real estate profession itself.
He served as a former President and Director of the Eastern Thumb Association of REALTORS® (ETAR), where colleagues say he championed professional development, ethical leadership, and collaboration across the local real estate community.

Outside his professional life, Deising was widely recognized as one of the original founders of Marysville Hot Wheels Weekend, one of the city’s signature community events that brings together automotive enthusiasts, local businesses, and families each year.

“Yesterday I lost my best friend Mike Deising. We put Hot Wheels Weekend together and loved playing music. Though we were ten years apart, he was like my brother. If we didn’t talk for a week or so he would call and ask, ‘Did we break up and I didn’t know it?’ This one hurts bad. Please pray for Mike and his family.”
