Watertown, S.D. — A motorcycle chase ended in a crash Wednesday night in southeast Watertown, leaving the suspect injured and under investigation.

Deputies were initially dispatched just before 10 p.m. to respond to a motorcycle crash, according to Mike Tanner of Go Watertown Radio. The rider, later identified as 24-year-old Seth Fisher, reportedly attempted to flee the scene while intoxicated. Authorities say Fisher left the initial crash site at a high rate of speed, prompting a pursuit through local streets.

The chase concluded when Fisher crashed at the intersection of Meadow Lake Road and 457th Avenue. Emergency medical personnel arrived promptly, and Fisher was transported to Prairie Lakes Hospital for treatment.

Officials have not yet announced formal charges, noting that the incident remains under investigation. Local law enforcement emphasized the dangers of impaired riding and high-speed chases in residential areas, urging the public to report suspicious or unsafe activity promptly.
