Tanner Martin Obituary, Death UtahTanner Martin, a popular influencer known for his candid and heartfelt documentation of his battle with colon cancer, has died at the age of 30, just over a month after welcoming his first child with his wife, Shay Wright.

Martin passed away following a five-year fight with the disease, which he openly shared with his community across social media. On Wednesday, June 25, a pre-recorded farewell video was posted to his Instagram account, where he spoke directly to his followers, confirming his own death.

“Hey, it’s me, Tanner. If you’re watching this, I am dead,” he said gently to the camera. He reflected on loved ones he hoped to reunite with in the afterlife and acknowledged the fear and mystery of death, calling it “a new adventure.” He ended the video by thanking everyone who had supported him during his final years: “Thanks again for all your support… for helping me be comfortable and making the last years of my life fun and enjoyable.”

His wife, Shay, captioned the emotional post: “May the force be with you from our angel force ghost. See the next video for his wish.”

In a follow-up video, Tanner’s final wish was revealed: to help support Shay and their newborn daughter, affectionately nicknamed Jiaozi, through a GoFundMe campaign. The fundraiser describes him as “a loving husband, a proud father, and a beautiful soul,” adding that he passed away without life insurance but with one focus—ensuring his family would be okay.
