A devastating single-vehicle crash in rural Niagara-on-the-Lake claimed the lives of three people in the early hours of Monday.
Emergency crews responded around 3 a.m. to the intersection of Queenston Road and Concession 6, where a vehicle had veered off the road and collided with a tree. The impact sparked a fire that quickly engulfed the car.
Despite the swift arrival of first responders, all three occupants were pronounced dead at the scene, according to Niagara Regional Police.
Specialized units, including collision reconstruction and forensic services, are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Efforts are underway to confirm the identities of the victims so their families can be notified.
