Sydney Primary School Mourns Five-Year-Old Girl After Being Struck by Ute Outside in Rouse Hill

A heartbreaking tragedy has shaken the north-west Sydney suburb of Rouse Hill, where a five-year-old girl died after being struck by a ute outside a local primary school on Clower Avenue.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, after reports that the child, who had been riding her scooter on a footpath, was hit by a Toyota Hilux near Rouse Hill Public School.

Paramedics treated her at the scene before rushing her to Westmead Children’s Hospital in critical condition. Despite their efforts, police confirmed early Thursday morning that she had succumbed to her injuries.

The driver, a 42-year-old man, was taken to Blacktown Hospital for mandatory testing. Authorities have since launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.

The incident has deeply affected the local community, where parents and residents have expressed grief and concern over road safety near schools. Police are urging witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward as inquiries continue.

The Rouse Hill Public School community is expected to offer support to students and staff coping with the devastating loss.
