The hip-hop world is mourning the loss of Lord Sear, who passed away at the age of 54. Shade 45 confirmed Sear’s death on Wednesday, March 11, though details surrounding the cause remain undisclosed. Known off-air as Steve Watson, Sear also went by Stak Cheda.

In a statement, Shade 45 called him “more than a voice on the radio — he was a force, a friend, and family to so many of us,” and announced a tribute episode set for Thursday from noon to 4 p.m. ET on SiriusXM.
