Savannah Blackstock Honors Late Father Brandon Blackstock in Heartfelt Tribute

Savannah Blackstock is remembering her father, Brandon Blackstock, with a moving message following his passing earlier this month at the age of 48.

In a deeply personal Instagram post shared on August 19, Savannah, 23, reflected on the bond she shared with her father and the lasting impact he made on her life. “My dad never stopped believing in me. No dream was ever too big—he made a way for me to chase them, and often, he chased them right alongside me,” she wrote. “He was my best friend, my biggest cheerleader, my voice of reason, and the person I wanted to call every single day.”

Savannah also revealed that the last six months of their relationship brought them closer in faith. While Brandon had always been spiritual, she said he found a deeper connection with God in recent months. “He hungered for the Word, and we pursued it together,” she shared. “The greatest gift he gave me was the peace of knowing where he is today—in Heaven with our Savior.”

Calling him her “favorite cowboy,” Savannah admitted that losing her father has left a hole in her heart, but she takes comfort in believing he is now in a better place. “Heaven gained an angel,” she wrote. “I’ll miss you endlessly, Dad. Enjoy your ranch up there—it’s everything your heart ever desired.”

Her tribute included family photos and snapshots of Brandon with his children and grandchildren. Savannah, who is already mom to a young son named Lake, is currently expecting her second child with husband Quentin Lee.

Brandon, who once managed Kelly Clarkson, shared Savannah and son Seth, 18, with his first wife, Melissa Ashworth. He later married Clarkson, with whom he had daughter River, 11, and son Remington, 9.

Other family members also paid tribute, including Brandon’s younger brother, Shelby Blackstock, who remembered him as “funny, bright, and full of life” in a post on August 8. “He taught me so much, leaving behind memories I’ll carry with me forever,” Shelby wrote. Their mother, country legend Reba McEntire, commented on the post, adding, “Yes, we will miss him so much.”

Clarkson, 42, also honored her former husband and stepson in an emotional post on August 12, writing: “Brandon went home to be with God. His struggle is over, and he is in eternal peace. There is no one else like him, and I’m thankful for the time we had together. Rest in peace, cowboy. Happy trails to you, until we meet again.”

Brandon Blackstock is remembered not only as a devoted father and son but also as someone whose laughter, faith, and love of life will continue to live on through his family.
