Kayla Hale, wife of Odyssey TOUR rep Cody Hale, Died of Cancer – Lewisburg, TN

Lewisburg, TN – The golf community and countless friends are mourning the loss of Kayla Hale, wife of longtime Odyssey TOUR representative Cody Hale, who passed away on July 15, 2025, at the age of 38 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Kayla’s life and memory were honored last week during the 3M Open, where several PGA TOUR players, including Rickie Fowler, wore black ribbons in her memory. A GoFundMe campaign launched to support the Hale family has already seen contributions from many in the golf community, a testament to the profound impact she and her family have had on those around them.

A Life of Grace and Kindness

Born Martha Kayla Branaman in Lewisburg, Tennessee, Kayla graduated from Marshall County High School in 2005 and later attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. As a proud member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, she formed friendships that would last a lifetime. Through these connections, she met Cody Hale, whom she married in 2014.

Kayla’s career as a salesperson and entrepreneur in Brentwood, Tennessee, was marked by her impeccable style and ability to connect with others. Friends describe her as gracious, warm, and selfless, always finding time to make the people in her life feel valued and cared for.

“Kayla had a way of making everyone feel like they were the most important person in the room,” a family friend shared. “Even during her most difficult days, she was thinking of others.”

Family at the Heart of Her World

Kayla’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Cody Hale, and their two young sons, Bowden (4) and Bennett (2). Known for her love of hosting, beautiful design, and heartfelt gestures, Kayla’s proudest role was being a mother.

“She fought with incredible courage for her boys,” said a relative. “Her love for Bowden and Bennett was unmatched, and her legacy will live on in them.”

Celebration of Life

Visitation will be held at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home on Friday, July 18, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, July 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service. A private burial at Lone Oak Cemetery will follow for close family and friends.

Kayla’s story resonates as a reminder of love, resilience, and the strength of community. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of kindness, faith, and family.
