Greenwich, Connecticut – The town of Greenwich, Connecticut, is mourning the untimely death of Officer Robert Pascale, a respected member of the Greenwich Police Department (GPD) whose professionalism and kindness left a lasting mark on the community he served. The department announced his passing on Thursday, calling it a heartbreaking loss for the entire law enforcement family.
Born and raised in Stamford, Pascale, 29, graduated from Penn State University with dual degrees in Criminology and Economics, as well as a Business Fundamentals Certificate from the Smeal College of Business. His academic achievements reflected his deep curiosity and commitment to understanding both people and systems—qualities that later defined his work in policing.
Officer Pascale began his career with the Greenwich Police Department on April 18, 2022, after completing training at the New Britain Police Academy’s 19th session. From his first days on duty, colleagues described him as meticulous, hardworking, and genuinely compassionate—a young officer who combined professionalism with empathy. He earned multiple letters of recognition for excellence in report writing and teamwork, setting a high standard for others to follow.
“Robert represented the very best of our department,” the GPD said in a statement. “He served with integrity and compassion, and his presence brought calm and respect to every situation. His kindness and dedication will never be forgotten.”
Beyond the uniform, Pascale was known for his generosity and sense of community. He volunteered with local nonprofits and was an active athlete, particularly passionate about football and lacrosse, sports that taught him teamwork and perseverance—traits that shaped his life and career.
The Greenwich Police Benevolent Association and Stamford community have expressed deep condolences to the Pascale family, emphasizing his enduring legacy of service. “He was a loyal teammate and a true friend,” one colleague shared. “Robert always took time to help others, even when no one was watching.”
