Patrick Bohm: Wisconsin Community Mourns 23-Year-Old Young Father

SHAWANO COUNTY, Wis. — The Shawano community is mourning the sudden loss of Patrick Thomas Bohm, a 23-year-old construction worker, father, and lifelong resident whose unexpected passing on Saturday, October 11, 2025, has left family and friends heartbroken.

Born on June 13, 2002, in Green Bay, Patrick was known for his work ethic, sense of humor, and deep loyalty to those around him. He graduated from Shawano High School in 2021 and quickly found his calling in construction, working for Boldt, one of Wisconsin’s leading construction companies.

Friends describe Patrick as a “man’s man” — someone who loved his trucks, hard work, and time outdoors. Yet behind his rugged exterior, he was also known as a devoted father, brother, and son.

A Life Centered on Family

More than anything, Patrick was proud to be a dad to his young daughter, Oaklynn, who was the light of his life. Family members say that any day spent with her was his favorite.

“He was happiest when Oaklynn was by his side,” said a family friend who knew Patrick since childhood. “Everything he did — working long hours, building his future — was for her.”

Patrick also cherished time with his nieces and nephews — Brynlee, Charles, Allison, Mya, Chloe, and Kaden — and enjoyed gatherings with his siblings Brittney, Jennifer, Kylie, and Isaiah, and his parents, Steve and Molly Bohm.

In quiet moments, he could often be found fishing, golfing, or shooting darts with friends. “He had a way of making everything fun,” one friend shared on social media. “He didn’t just show up — he made every memory bigger, louder, and better.”

Remembering Patrick’s Spirit

Patrick’s passing has resonated deeply in Shawano, a tight-knit Wisconsin community where neighbors know each other by name. Local friends, coworkers, and classmates have filled Facebook tribute posts with photos of Patrick smiling beside his daughter, working on his truck, or standing shoulder-to-shoulder with friends on a fishing dock.

The tributes paint a portrait of a young man whose life, though short, was full of meaning. “Patrick was tough as nails but soft-hearted when it came to family,” one post read. “He’d give you the shirt off his back.”

At just 23, Patrick had already become a source of strength for others — dependable, loyal, and deeply connected to his roots.

Honoring His Memory

A funeral service for Patrick will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano, with Richard Menning officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 17, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., and again on Saturday morning before the service.

In a touching tribute to his love of golf, the family has encouraged attendees to wear golf attire in his honor — a reflection of Patrick’s easygoing nature and passion for the game.

Memorials will go toward supporting his daughter, Oaklynn, ensuring her future is cared for in the way Patrick always intended.

A Community Comes Together

The Bohm family has received an outpouring of support from across Wisconsin. Friends, coworkers, and local residents have rallied with condolences, donations, and prayers.

Patrick is survived by his daughter, parents, siblings, grandparents, and a large extended family, including close friend Logan Duchac and members of the Johnson family, who were like a second home to him. He is preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth and his grandfather Pat “Papa Pat” Martin.

In a time of deep grief, the community’s remembrance of Patrick speaks to the power of connection — and the legacy of a young man whose love for life, family, and simple joys continues to inspire those left behind.
