Her mother confirmed the heartbreaking news in a social media post, describing the incident as a “senseless act” that has left the family shattered and searching for justice.
“Rhi Rhi (Lil Mama, Nanaa) was a beautiful soul inside and out,” her mother wrote. “She was smart beyond her years, talented with music and makeup, and had the biggest heart. The most loyal friend. She protected everyone around her.”
Authorities have not yet released further details about the investigation, but the family has vowed to pursue every avenue to ensure accountability. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help cover funeral expenses, travel costs, and legal support for the ongoing investigation.
Remembering Rhiana’s Life and Dreams
Kemplin’s mother shared that her daughter was a high school senior with big ambitions. She dreamed of attending Arizona State University (ASU), where she hoped to study cosmetology and play in the marching band. Despite her small stature, her mother said, Rhiana’s “spirit tripled her size.”
“She had an infectious laugh and a kind spirit that could light up any room,” said a family friend. “She loved music, loved people, and wanted to make the world beautiful in her own way.”
Classmates and teachers at her school have also expressed deep sorrow, describing her as a bright, compassionate student whose presence made a difference in the lives of those around her.
