DUBLIN, Ohio — Members of the sports broadcasting community are mourning the loss of Bryce Adair, a respected CBS Sports production assistant whose death followed a serious traffic collision in Ohio during a work assignment at the Memorial Tournament, one of the PGA Tour’s premier events.
Adair, a communications professional known for his dedication behind the scenes of major sports broadcasts, was working with CBS Sports in Dublin, Ohio, when the accident occurred. Initial reports from colleagues indicated that he suffered critical injuries and was receiving emergency medical treatment following the crash. Subsequent tributes from friends, coworkers, and broadcasting professionals confirmed that he later succumbed to those injuries.
The news has prompted an outpouring of grief from those who knew him personally and professionally. Tyler Strong, a longtime friend and coworker, described Adair as “the most kind-hearted person” he had ever met, recalling a friendship that began in childhood and continued throughout their careers in sports media.
“Bryce is the most kind-hearted person I have ever met, always willing to help and a friend to everyone he meets,” Strong shared while asking for prayers and support for Adair and his family during the medical emergency that followed the crash.
Adair had built a respected career in sports broadcasting through years of hard work and technical expertise. Originally from Chester, Pennsylvania, Adair later lived in Martinez, Georgia. He attended Lakeside High School and studied Communication at Valdosta State University, where he developed the skills that would eventually lead him into the competitive world of television production.
