Monroe County, Indiana – A 61-year-old Bloomington man has died after a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Monroe County, Indiana, late Saturday night, September 12, 2026.

The crash occurred at approximately 10:17 p.m. near the intersection of South Fairfax Road and East Will Sowders Road, just north of Lake Monroe. The rider was travelling alone on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle when the crash occurred.

No other vehicles were involved.

Emergency responders transported the injured motorcyclist to IU Health Bloomington Hospital, where he was treated for critical injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
