Cincinnati – Cincinnati police are investigating a motorcycle crash in the Northside neighborhood that claimed the life of a 19-year-old man on Sunday.
The crash happened at approximately 4 p.m. on Colerain Avenue near Ammon Avenue, according to police. Emergency medical personnel responded and attempted life-saving measures, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Demarco Bryant, 19.
A preliminary crash report indicates that Bryant was riding a Kawasaki Ninja 500 when he veered off Colerain Avenue and struck a concrete wall. No other vehicle was reported to have been involved in the crash.
Investigators said preliminary findings do not indicate that speed or impairment contributed to the collision. Bryant was reportedly wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.
Authorities closed a section of Colerain Avenue between West Fork Road and Raeburn Drive while officers examined the scene and gathered evidence.
The investigation remains ongoing. Preliminary findings can change as investigators review physical evidence, witness information and other available evidence.
The crash has left the Cincinnati community mourning the death of a teenager whose life ended at 19. Further information may be released by Cincinnati police or the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office as the investigation continues.
