Brooke Eby, ALS Advocate and TikTok Star, Dies at 37

Brooke Eby, the Maryland-based internet personality and ALS advocate known for her candid, humorous documentation of life with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, died on October 1, 2026, at age 37. Her sister confirmed the cause as complications from ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Diagnosed in 2022 at age 33 after years of progressive symptoms beginning with a limp, Eby transformed her terminal diagnosis into a powerful platform. Under the handle LimpBroozkit on TikTok and Instagram, she shared unfiltered insights into daily challenges, adaptive living, and moments of levity, amassing hundreds of thousands of followers. Her videos educated audiences about the progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects motor neurons while leaving the mind intact.

Beyond social media, Eby founded ALStogether, a Slack-based community connecting people with ALS, caregivers, and resources. She collaborated on adaptive clothing, participated in research, spoke at events, and received the ALS Network’s Advocate of the Year award. Salesforce, her former employer, supported workplace accommodations as her mobility declined.

Survived by her parents, Clifford and Eugenia, sister Sarah, and brother Chris, Eby is remembered for humanizing ALS with wit and honesty. The ALS Network praised her for changing perceptions and fostering connection. Her legacy continues through the community she built and the awareness she raised for a disease still without a cure.
