PALM BEACH COUNTY, Florida: A Texas technology entrepreneur, his wife and their two young children were among seven passengers killed when a private Learjet 60 crashed in a residential neighbourhood in Palm Beach County, Florida, on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
The family was identified as Adam Robinson, his wife, Helen Sharp, and their children, Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2. Their identities were confirmed in a statement shared by relatives on Facebook on Monday.
Two family friends, Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr, were also aboard the aircraft, alongside the children’s nanny, Anita Maria Cetina.
The seven passengers were travelling together when the aircraft went down near Military Trail in the Greenacres area. All nine people aboard, including the two flight crew members, died in the crash.
Robinson was a technology entrepreneur who founded and led several companies, according to his LinkedIn profile. His professional work reflected his involvement in the technology sector, while family members and friends are now remembering him alongside his wife and children.
The loss of the four family members has drawn particular attention because of the children’s young ages. Their deaths, alongside those of the family’s close friends and caregiver, have left relatives and loved ones facing an overwhelming loss.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash, with assistance from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Investigators are examining the aircraft’s final moments, including reported weather conditions, possible icing and evidence of an in-flight breakup. Officials have yet to establish an official cause.
The tragedy has also affected residents of the surrounding neighbourhood, where emergency crews responded to the fiery crash and authorities coordinated safety operations.
As investigators work to establish what happened, the families of those killed are beginning the difficult process of mourning nine lives lost in the South Florida disaster.
