U.S. County – Abigail Maiers (née Dolphin), devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, and beloved member of her Iowa community, has passed away. She is remembered for the warmth, strength, and love she shared with everyone around her.
A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, Abigail built a meaningful career at Nicolet Bank in Iowa, where she was known for her professionalism and genuine care for others. Yet those who knew her best say her greatest achievements were found at home and among family and friends.
She was the cherished wife of Chance Maiers and the proud mother of their two sons, Griffin and Maddox. Her own mother, Anne Dolphin, expressed the depth of that bond: “Abigail Maiers, you made me a mom and then gave me two beautiful grand babies, Griffin and Maddox. You were so loved and are missed unbelievably.”
Chance Maiers shared a simple, powerful tribute that captured the essence of who she was to those closest to her: “The Greatest… Mother, Wife, Sister, Daughter, Best Friend in the whole world. Love You… Forever & Always.”
Her sister remembered her as “the greatest big sister, best friend, role model, wife, mom, and everything in between,” adding, “I am so forever thankful for all the memories we have shared together over all the years. I will hang onto those memories for the rest of my life. I love you forever and always… until we meet again.”
Friends and extended family echoed the same sentiments. Katie Weber recalled a recent conversation that will stay with her: “Being able to say I sat and got to talk motherhood and golf with Abigail on Sunday is something I’m going to hold very near and dear to my heart. While doing something that ultimately brought us closer together—watching our husbands golf! So thankful for the time I did have with her. The Dolphin and Maiers families are constantly in my prayers. Especially Chance, Griffin, and Maddox.”
Others described Abigail as an “amazing, loving person to be around,” a great cousin, friend, sister, mother, and daughter whose loss feels almost unreal. “She will definitely be missed by so many loving people,” one relative wrote. “We are thinking a lot for Abigail’s family that is going through this hard time.”

Abigail Maiers lived with a quiet strength and an open heart.
