OTTAWA, Ohio — Sheila Ann Vorst, 45, of Ottawa, passed away in July 2026. A loving mother, dedicated family member, and active community supporter.
Born on July 31, 1980, Sheila married her husband, Craig Joseph Vorst, on November 12, 2005. The couple built a life together filled with family joy, lake outings, vacations, and shared moments with loved ones. Craig passed away unexpectedly in 2022 at age 40, leaving Sheila to raise their four children as a single mother. Despite this profound loss, Sheila remained a pillar of strength, prioritizing her children’s well-being and continuing to pour love into her family and community.
Sheila took great pride in her role as a mother to Carter, Ella, Maya, and Reid Vorst. Family and friends describe her as an amazing mother who stayed deeply involved in her children’s daily lives, school activities, and weekends. She was known for her kind greetings, engaging conversations about her kids’ accomplishments, and her supportive spirit—often noted in connection with local band and school activities.
Her sudden passing has left her four children without either parent in a short span of years, creating an especially difficult time for the family. Community members and relatives have rallied around the Vorst children, offering prayers, messages, and support as they navigate this new chapter.
She is survived by her four children: Carter, Ella, Maya, and Reid Vorst; extended family including sister-in-law Natalie Vorst and many other loving relatives.
