Authorities in San Antonio, Texas are investigating a deadly shooting that unfolded Sunday night, leaving one man dead and two others injured after their vehicle crashed into a commercial building on the city’s South Side.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, the incident began around 9:45 p.m. following an argument between two groups in the 900 block of SE Military Drive. Police say the confrontation escalated after both groups left the scene, with one vehicle allegedly following the other and opening fire near a Walgreens location.
Three men inside the targeted truck were struck by gunfire. In an attempt to reach medical care, the victims drove away but lost control of the vehicle, crashing multiple times before ultimately plowing into a nearby Classic Collision building.
Emergency responders pronounced one victim dead at the scene. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office is expected to release the victim’s identity and determine the official cause of death. The two surviving victims were transported to a hospital, though their conditions have not been publicly updated.
Police have not yet released details about the suspects or their vehicle. Investigators are urging anyone with information to come forward.
