Christa Diane Kindred, 62, of Stephenville, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was remembered for her devotion to her family, her love of the outdoors and the simple pleasures she enjoyed throughout her life.

Christa’s family will receive friends during a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Lacy Funeral Home.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Pony Creek (Box) Cemetery in Stephenville. The service will be conducted under the direction of Lacy Funeral Home, with Pastor Ben McCleery officiating.

Christa was born on March 8, 1964, in Hico, Texas, to Billy and Doris Noonkester.

She married Michael Kindred, and together they built a family life centered around their son, Kevin. Christa and Michael were also co-owners of a drywall company, where they worked together in their business.

Family was at the heart of Christa’s life. She especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren, Jensen and Lila.

Those who knew Christa will remember her appreciation for the simple moments of everyday life. She enjoyed feeding and calling in birds and watching windmills.

Above all, she treasured being with her family and spending time with her grandchildren. These ordinary moments became meaningful memories for the people closest to her.

Christa is survived by:

  • Her husband, Michael Kindred of Stephenville
  • Her son, Kevin Kindred and his wife, Alexandria, of San Antonio
  • Her grandchildren, Jensen and Lila Kindred
  • Her brother, Larry Noonkester and his wife, Lorie, of Corpus Christi
  • Her nephew, Adam Noonkester

She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Doris Noonkester, and her niece, Amber Ramsdell.

Christa’s life was closely connected to the people she loved. Her family, grandchildren and the everyday experiences she valued will remain part of the memories shared by those who knew her.
