What Really Happened at Wembley Stadium, London — A man in his 40s has tragically died after falling from an upper tier during an Oasis concert at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night, authorities have confirmed.
Emergency services were called to the venue at 10:19 p.m. local time following reports of a serious incident during the band’s reunion performance. Upon arrival, police and medics found the man with injuries consistent with a significant fall. He was pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts to save him.
The concert was part of Oasis’s highly anticipated Live ’25 reunion tour, marking the band’s first performances together since their split nearly 16 years ago. Saturday’s show was the second in a run of seven sold-out dates at Wembley, which holds up to 90,000 fans.
In a statement issued shortly after the incident, Oasis expressed their grief: “We are shocked and saddened by the news of a fan’s passing during the show. Our deepest condolences go out to their family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”
Authorities believe the fall may have been witnessed by several attendees or unintentionally captured on mobile phones, given the size of the crowd. The Metropolitan Police are urging anyone with information or relevant footage to come forward by calling 101.
Wembley Stadium also released a statement, confirming that venue staff, police officers, and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service responded swiftly to the emergency.
“Despite the best efforts of those on scene, the fan sadly passed away. Our hearts go out to the individual’s family and friends, who are being supported by specially trained officers,” the statement read.
Saturday’s tragedy has cast a somber tone over the reunion tour, which had been celebrated by fans across generations. The band is scheduled to perform next in Edinburgh on August 8, 9, and 12, followed by shows in Ireland, North America, and a return to Wembley in late September.
The incident is under investigation, and officials are working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the fall.
