Television actor Vibhu K Raghave, known for his role in Nisha Aur Uske Cousins, has died after a brave three-year fight with rare stage 4 cancer. He was in his late 30s

New Delhi — Television actor Vibhu K Raghave, beloved for his roles in Nisha Aur Uske Cousins and Suvreen Guggal – Topper of the Year, passed away on June 2 after a three-year battle with a rare and aggressive form of stage 4 cancer. He was in his late 30s. Vibhu died in a Mumbai hospital, surrounded by those who had stood by him throughout his difficult journey.

Known off-screen as Vaibhav Kumar Singh Raghave, Vibhu inspired many with his courage, warmth, and unwavering positivity throughout his health struggle, which he documented openly and honestly with his fans on Instagram.

The news of his passing was confirmed by his close friend and fellow actor Saumya Tandon, who took to Instagram Tuesday morning with a heartfelt tribute.

“My beautiful friend Vibhu Raghave with angels now. Left us last night. Vibhu, you were beautiful—inside and out,” she wrote. “You taught me how to smile even when everything was falling apart.”

Her emotional note echoed what many in the television community felt about Vibhu—not just as an actor but as a human being full of grace and light, even in the darkest of times.

An Open Fight Against Cancer

Vibhu first revealed his cancer diagnosis in February 2022 through a video from the hospital. “They found a stage 4 cancer in me which is in an advanced state, a rare and kind of aggressive type,” he said. “In a day, life changed, totally upside down.”

Rather than retreating from the public eye, Vibhu chose transparency. He shared video blogs throughout his treatment, chronicling the ups and downs of his condition. His followers watched him face a cruel disease with honesty, humor, and hope.

In a video posted in January 2025, he revealed that the cancer had spread to his liver, spine, lungs, and other parts of his body. By April, his treatment had to be changed again after scans showed continued spread. “Keep sending your love and wishes,” he said in what would be one of his final vlogs. “That is something we are really counting on right now.”

A Career Marked by Talent and Heart

Vibhu K Raghave was a graduate of the New York Film Academy and earned recognition in the Indian entertainment industry for his nuanced performances and charismatic screen presence. He made a mark playing the role of Saurav in Nisha Aur Uske Cousins and later appeared in Suvreen Guggal – Topper of the Year. His film credits include Rhythm (2016).

Though his acting career was still on the rise, those who knew him often spoke more about his personality than his portfolio. He was known to be gentle, deeply thoughtful, and quietly ambitious.

Remembered With Love

“Life is so damn short,” Saumya Tandon wrote in her tribute. “I’m going to try to live it like you did — fully, fiercely, with heart.” She also thanked everyone who had supported Vibhu with messages, prayers, and contributions, adding, “I’m forever grateful to you all.”

Vibhu is survived by his mother, brother, and sister. Details of his funeral procession were shared by close friends and are being attended by colleagues, fans, and loved ones who had admired him for more than just his on-screen work.

A Legacy of Light and Courage

In an industry often filled with glitter and fast fame, Vibhu K Raghave stood out for his sincerity and transparency. He turned his personal pain into a public platform for awareness, resilience, and human connection.

Even as cancer ravaged his body, Vibhu remained a source of strength and inspiration for those around him. His passing leaves a void in the entertainment world—but more than that, it leaves an enduring message about the power of hope and living life with integrity.

May he rest in peace.
