PRINCETON, Indiana — Family, friends, and the Princeton community continue to honor the life of Jordan Alexander Wampler, who passed away in 2025 at the age of 28. Remembered for his unwavering devotion to his children, his hardworking nature, and the kindness he extended to everyone around him, Jordan’s legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the countless lives he touched.
Born on December 20, 1996, in Evansville, Indiana, Jordan was the son of Scott Wampler and Amanda (Roberts) Wampler. He died at Northwest Healthcare in Amarillo, Texas, leaving behind a grieving family, lifelong friends, coworkers, and a community united in remembrance.
A Hardworking Provider and Skilled Equipment Operator
Jordan built a career through dedication and perseverance. He was a member of IUOE Local 181 District 2 Operators Union and Local 178 in Amarillo, Texas, where he earned the respect of colleagues for his work ethic and commitment to his trade.
Before relocating to Texas, he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Roberts Boring Company, where friends and coworkers remember him as dependable, knowledgeable, and always willing to help others.
His profession reflected the qualities that defined him personally—integrity, determination, and an unwavering commitment to providing for those he loved.
A Father First
Above every professional accomplishment, Jordan considered fatherhood his greatest blessing.
He is survived by his longtime partner of five years, Destiney Nottingham, and their two children, Paisleigh and Paxstyn Wampler, who remained the center of his world.
In a heartfelt Father’s Day tribute following his passing, Destiney reflected on the profound absence Jordan left behind while celebrating the love he continues to inspire.
“Happy 1st Father’s Day in Heaven, Jordan Wampler,” she wrote. “The kids are so smart, funny, outgoing… There are so many things that we still do that remind them of memories they have with you, and we will forever cherish those memories.”
She later shared another emotional message:
“The kids and I love and miss you so much. Fly high our angel, until we meet again.”
Her words capture the enduring bond Jordan shared with his family and the lasting influence he continues to have on his children’s lives.
Remembered for His Kindness and Generosity
Friends consistently describe Jordan as someone whose generosity came naturally.
A memorial fundraiser organized by Ranasia McIntyre remembered him as “an incredible person—full of love, laughter, and selflessness.”
The fundraiser was established to help support Jordan’s family with funeral expenses and to provide financial stability for his young children during an unimaginably difficult time.
Organizers encouraged the community to surround his family with the same compassion Jordan showed others throughout his life.
“No family should have to go through this alone,” the fundraiser stated. “Let’s come together to lift this family up and show them the same love and support that Jordan always gave to everyone around him.”
Finding Joy in the Outdoors
Outside of work, Jordan embraced the outdoors and valued simple moments spent with family and friends.
Known affectionately as “Gordon” by many childhood friends, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, country roads, bonfires, music, and storytelling.
He also had a special affection for animals, especially his beloved goats—Donnie, Bandit, and Bella—which brought him great happiness.
Those closest to him say these moments reflected the person Jordan truly was: humble, genuine, and happiest when surrounded by the people and places he loved most.
A Family That Endured Profound Loss
Jordan’s passing came after the earlier deaths of his brothers, Zane Wampler and Colton Wampler, tragedies that deeply affected the Wampler family.
In an emotional tribute, Kay Wampler shared the completion of Jordan’s memorial headstone, carefully designed to match Zane’s.
“It’s been a long eight months of making sure Jordan has the same headstone as Zane… I love and miss you boys so much.”
Her words reflect a family’s enduring love while honoring multiple cherished lives lost far too soon.
Family and Survivors
Jordan is survived by his partner, Destiney Nottingham; his children, Paisleigh and Paxstyn; his parents, Scott Wampler and Amanda Roberts; siblings Kaylee, Kyle, Daniel, Scotty, and Jace Wampler; grandparents, extended family members, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Zane Wampler and Colton Wampler, as well as his paternal grandmother, Debbie “Meemaw” Dill, and great-grandparents Alfred and Gladys Roberts.
Funeral and Memorial Services
Funeral services for Jordan were held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, Indiana, with burial following at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
His family invited memorial contributions to assist with funeral expenses or to support educational and financial opportunities for his children through Diamond Valley Credit Union, ensuring his legacy of caring for his family continues into the future.
